I’m a designer who designs and makes - I like to develop ideas from concepts, to sketches, to prototypes, to the final product. I thrive from learning new skills in the process of reaching the end product. This is heightened by the fact that I’m very curious and interested in exploring and acquiring new skills, knowledge and mediums which I can apply in my designs.
I take inspiration from a range of areas of knowledge - from nature, to science, to engineering, to art, this gives my designs a unique and nuanced perspective.
Within the realm of hard skills, I can create high quality product sketches, low-mid fidelity prototypes, code in Circuit python and Arduino IDE, build circuits, 3D-model and conduct user testing.
I have a range of soft skills, including creativity, adaptability, planning, goal-setting and enthusiasm among many others.
Within a team I take on the role of an idea generator and maker - as well as guiding the design process and often leading the evaluation of prototypes and samples. I’m open-minded and enthusiastic and therefore generally work well in team settings.
I believe that generating quantity leads to quality, hence my design process begins with a rigorous ideation and reflection
upon the characteristics which make the design unique and fulfils its purpose.
I see design as a very explorative process and prioritise creating unique and aesthetic interactions.
